Is there a course, text, or assignment you've drawn upon in your alumni life?

Much of it, but I especially found the courses related to global governance and economic development shaped my early career. I also really valued the course abroad - I participated in the trip to Argentina, where we studied the dictatorship, human rights trials, and truth and reconciliation.

Please describe one memory or highlight of your time in the program.

Myself and some other classmates, including Stu Carroll, formed the Mason Global Affairs Student Association. During our time in the program, we held a speaker series, including one on human trafficking and another on Palestine, where we had Ambassador Mansour come and speak. These two events were especially significant in my time at Mason.

What would be your advice to new alumni, regardless of whether they are already in established careers or searching for a job?

Be open to opportunities that present themselves, even if they aren't what you had in mind. Your career won't be a straight line from here to there, and having both depth and breadth in your experience is incredibly valuable.
