Global Affairs Professor Interviewed About Human Rights Investigations in the Gambia

UN experts are in Gambia to investigate rights violations, including executions, torture and other "cruel, inhuman or degrading treatment." The two special rapporteurs are expected to meet with high-ranking officials, as well as local NGOs and civil society activists. They are also set to visit jails and police stations. It's the first time UN investigators have been allowed into Gambia. But it's unclear how much they will be able to achieve, according to Gambia expert Niklas Hultin.
